Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This policy explains what the Saral CRM app does with information. It is written plainly, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.
The app is used by businesses to keep track of their own customers. When a business uses it, that business decides what goes in. We hold it for them.
Who we are
Saral CRM is operated by SARAL CRM, a sole proprietorship of Deep Patil, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Udyam (MSME) registered.

What the app collects, and why
About you, the person using it
- Your name, email address and phone number. So your colleagues know who you are, and so we can reach you about your account.
- Your password, which is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We never see it and cannot read it.
- If you sign in with Google, Google gives the app your name and email address. Nothing else from your Google account is read.
About your customers
Whatever your business chooses to record: names, phone numbers, email addresses, what they are interested in, notes, stages, follow-up dates and the timeline of what has happened with them.
This is your business's information, not ours. We store it so the app works. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.
Team chat
Messages written in the app's Chat tab are stored so everyone in your business can read them. Only people in your own business can see them, and the owner can delete any message. The chat carries text only: no photos, files or voice.
WhatsApp messages
A business owner can connect the business's own WhatsApp Business number to Saral CRM, through Meta's sign-up window. Once connected, WhatsApp messages between that number and the business's customers are kept with the customer they belong to, so the business's team can read and answer them in the app. For each message we keep its text, when it was sent, whether it was delivered and read, and which team member sent a reply.
Messages from people who are not saved as customers of that business are not stored. Photos, voice notes and files are not stored either: the app only notes that one was sent.
To send and receive for a connected number, our server keeps the number's identifiers and an access token from Meta. Only our server can read them; nobody using the app can. The owner can disconnect WhatsApp at any time in Profile, which removes these. Messages already kept stay with the customer until the business deletes them or closes.
Your phone's contact list
If you allow it, the app reads the contacts on your phone so you can pick someone to add as a customer.
Your contact list is not uploaded. It is read on your phone and shown on your phone. Only the people you actually add as customers are saved, and only what the app needs: their name and number.
You can refuse this permission and everything else still works.
Reminders
Follow-up reminders are set on your own phone. Allowing notifications sends nothing anywhere.
Checking the app is genuine
The app uses Google Play Integrity so our database only answers the real Saral CRM app. Google checks the app and the device; this is not used to identify you or to track you.
Nothing else
The app does not collect your location, does not read the SMS messages on your phone or call history, does not use your camera or microphone, and contains no advertising and no analytics about your behaviour.
Where it is kept
Information is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication), operated by Google. It is protected in transit and at rest, and access rules make sure a business can only ever read its own data, never another business's.
WhatsApp messages of a business that has connected its number travel through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API), operated by Meta Platforms, which handles them under its own terms.
Who can see your data
- The people in your own business. The owner chooses how much employees can see.
- Us, only when we need to: fixing a fault you have reported, or when the law requires it.
- Meta, only for WhatsApp messages, and only if your business has connected its WhatsApp number: those messages pass through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform to reach your customers.
- Nobody else. We do not sell it or pass it to anyone for marketing.
How long we keep it
As long as your business is using the app.
When an owner closes their business in the app, everything belonging to it (customers, timelines, follow-ups, messages and team records) is deleted permanently, straight away. It cannot be recovered.
When you delete your own account, your login and profile are removed. If colleagues remain, the business and its customers continue without you. How to delete your account.
What you can ask for
- A copy of what we hold about you
- A correction to anything that is wrong
- Deletion of your account and your data
- To stop us processing it
Deleting your account you can do yourself in the app, under Profile. For anything else, email us and we will answer within 30 days.
Children
The app is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change it, we will update the date at the top of this page. For a change that matters, we will also tell business owners by email or in the app before it takes effect.
